FAQ

Unfortunately, life has rules, and so does Satori. Edjumacate yourself.

1

Can I use your pictures on social media?

Of course you can! This is why I have Satori, for your enjoyment and use. Please remember to credit me when you do so! The old Satori page is inactive, so please do not use it.  Also, do not share half naked/naked photos of other people on social media without their express permission.  You can check about my About Moi page for my social media links.

2

Why is there a password on some folders?

Because over the years, I have shot some questionable, NSFW (not safe for work) and incriminating things. The password is given out at my discretion, and is normally only given out to members of HCC. If you do not already have this password, there is a good chance you should not have it, and trust me, if you don't have it, you probably do not want to look. If I want you to have the password, I will let you know. If you have the password, please DO NOT GIVE IT OUT.

Will you shoot my wedding/family portrait/etc event?

I am flattered, but I do not do 'professional' photography, such as weddings or baby showers or stuff like that. I will gladly come to your event and take other pictures for you, but I will not do it in a professional capacity or in any way where I will be directly responsible for their outcome and entitled to compensation. This is not personal. Photography is my favorite thing to do in the world and I do not want it to turn into a job or something that causes me even bigger anxiety than I already have. I have one or two exceptions to this rule, but only because of my very close relationship to those who asked. If you want professional pictures, I highly advise you check out Whimsyclo Photography. She is a friend of mine from high school and does great work.

I see a photo I do not want on Satori. What do I do?

If you see a photo you do not want on Satori, please contact me via Facebook Messenger/Instagram and I will take it off. This is why all the filenames are displayed below each picture, so that you can identify which photo it is. Please make note of the folder it is in. The more info I have, the quicker it is gone. It is your likeness, so I do not want to make you uncomfortable.

I saw something I didn't want to see in a password protected folder! What is wrong with you?!

Honey, who knows? It is protected for a reason and if you enter a protected folder, you are at its mercy. If you don't think you can handle it, just don't go in there. Don't say I did not warn you.

6

I don't want to look through all of these folders! Can you please just email them to me?

Please do not ask me to email you pictures I've taken. I put a lot of work into Satori. I do not have time to be sending massive amounts of pictures in emails or texts. Most of my photos are too high of a resolution for email anyway. However, if Satori cannot handle the image size and you need the pictures, I will make an exception and share them on my Google Drive, but that is the only condition. I have a good memory of my photo library and if you ask me where something else, I can almost always locate it and tell you which folder it's in.

Can I donate my photos to Satori?

Of course you can! I looooove donations. You can message them to me via Facebook Messenger, or even Instagram.  When you donate to Satori, I rename your photos so that I remember who donated it. You will get a picture credit, and I will also save them on my hard drive so that I always have them in case something happens to your phone/hard drive. If you have photos in a photo album (disposables, etc) I will gladly work with you to meet up so that I can scan them! Please note that I only accept photos from high school to present and if they are related to mutual friend groups.

5

I saw one of my donated pictures but there was no credit? How dare you!

I have to reupload the entirety of a folder when I find old pictures, etc. Most of the photos on my hard drive have the donation info encoded into them, but some do not. If you see one of your donated photos and don't see a credit, please let me know and I will fix it. I am getting better about donations and making sure I don't forget what belongs to who, but some old photos may not have gotten encoded.

I am looking for specific photo(s). How do I navigate?

Satori is arranged by places where photos were taken or occasions.  Some folders have sub folders, such as Here & There, Random Houses, Events. If you do not see a folder assigned to you on the main page, chances are that the photos are in Random Houses. Unfortunately, Wix does not offer a search function. Soon I will be uploading a PDF directory of the folders and will announce it on the Satori FB. You can also ask me!
